Job summary

Acara Solutions, Inc. is hiring for an Electronics Assembler to join our Grand Rapids facility. You will perform a range of assembly tasks, interpret engineering drawings, and follow work instructions to complete builds that meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include wiring, soldering, harnessing, and applying coatings, with opportunities to grow through internal training and certifications such as IPC A610/JSTD 001. A strong grasp of documentation and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Min 2 years electronics manufacturing experience.
• IPC A610 and JSTD 001 solder/rework certification preferred.
• Lean or demand flow manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
• Read engineering drawings and manufacturing work instructions.
• Perform product build processes as directed to meet business needs.
• Conduct underfill, bonding, and staking as required.
• Apply conformal/Parylene coating and touch-up as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and use Windows programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment.
• Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms, and documents.
• Determines and follows methods and sequences of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units.

What You'll Do:

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Min 2 years of Electronics manufacturing experience

What Sets You Apart (preferred):

• Associate Degree
• Current certification to IPC A610 and JSTD 001.
• The successful candidate will receive internal training as necessary and will be needed to pass IPC A610 and JSTD 001 solder and rework certification tests.
• General knowledge of Lean or demand flow manufacturing practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with team members.
• Close attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving techniques.
