Job summary

Aleron is seeking an Electrical Assembler in Simi Valley, CA. This temp-to-hire position focuses on hands-on assembly, soldering under a microscope, wire harness fabrication, connector crimping, and light mechanical assembly in a defense manufacturing setting.

You will join a quality-focused team using specialized tools and materials to build precision products, with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of circuit board soldering and wire harnessing assembly experience.
• Current solder certification in MIL-STD-2000, J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 or NASA-STD-8739.3.
• 3+ years soldering components and wires to PWB under a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Tin wires and component leads using solder pot.
• Solder under a microscope.
• Use thermal wire strippers.
• Crimp electrical connectors using Mil-Std tools.
• Fabricate and install wire harnesses.
• Light mechanical assembly.
• Install and torque screws and nuts.
• Bonding and staking.
• Lacing and spot-tying wire harnesses.
• Install switches, jacks, meters, relays, and wire into the chassis.
• Use chemicals such as Alcohol, Epoxies, RTV silicones and Conformal coating.

Schedule:9/80 Schedule, employees work 9 out of every 14 days - Totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

Additional Information:

• Must read and speak English fluently


• Must have acute vision (i.e., near vision, depth perception, color vision, field vision)


• Must be able to pass soldering demonstration and written tests and vision test


• Must have thorough knowledge of basic hand tools; solder irons, wire strippers, and crimping tools
