Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an Assembler in Everett, WA to support aviation manufacturing. You will perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, inspection, and repair to meet strict quality standards.

Role requires reading blueprints and specs, using hand tools, and lifting up to 40 pounds. The position is full-time, with a first shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM; overtime may be available on a voluntary basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus relevant assembly experience.
• Alternatively, 3 years of relevant assembly experience in lieu of diploma.
• At least 3 years of hands-on testing and assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specs, and work instructions.
• Able to safely use hand tools and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and work instructions.
• Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection operations.
• Operate hand tools and measuring equipment; perform quality checks and document defects.
• Rework and repair assemblies per engineering changes; maintain workstation inventory.
• Work up to 8 hours standing; lift up to 40 pounds; adhere to safety standards.

What You'll Do

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written work instructions .
• Perform a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection operations .
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and other light equipment.
• Perform quality checks and identify and document product defects.
• Rework and repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Maintain appropriate product inventory at assigned workstations.
• Complete work in accordance with established quality and safety standards .
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Lift materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds .
• Work primarily in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day , with occasional opportunities to sit.

Required Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who bring:

• High school diploma or GED plus relevant assembly experience . In lieu of a diploma or GED, at least 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• At least 3 years of hands-on testing and assembly experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, electrical tools, measuring equipment, and related assembly equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour shift.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who stand out may also bring:

• Previous aviation or aerospace manufacturing experience .
• Experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly.
• Hands-on experience conducting production testing and inspections.
• Experience identifying defects and performing rework or repairs.
