Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Decatur, TX is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. The role covers product knowledge across departments, promoting sales and promotions, and stepping in during the Store Manager's absence.

As a trainee, you will learn asset control, merchandising, scheduling, restocking, and performance metrics to drive profitability while delivering an outstanding guest experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to assist in managing a team and achieving goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Establish action plans for departments such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Take responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities are completed.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service.
• Perform general administrative duties; trained in Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service and promote services and merchandise.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as documented.
