Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and perform calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and pricing merchandise according to established practices and store manager direction.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management, prepare and conduct inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Operate store in store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends, labor, profitability and inventory turn.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.
