Job summary

Walgreens offers an accelerated Store Manager development program in the New York area. Trainees learn front-end and pharmacy operations, shadow the Store Manager, and complete required certifications through classroom, online, and on-the-job training.

You will rotate through stores, gain exposure to merchandising, loss prevention, inventory management, and customer service excellence, and progress toward permanent Store Manager readiness under leadership supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Store Manager and gain experience supervising store operations.
• Assist in opening/closing shifts and delegating tasks to team members.
• Learn to supervise merchandising tasks and promotional displays across front-end and pharmacy.
