Job summary

Metro Market is seeking a Store Manager in Wisconsin to support all departments and share responsibility for store performance. You will assist in scheduling, safety, sanitation, HR duties, and drive customer service excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

As a leader, you will coach associates, lead merchandising initiatives, monitor KPIs, and collaborate across departments to improve sales, shrink, and profitability. This role requires strong communication and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager or similar role.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing associates to meet goals.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics and data insights for decisions.
• Ability to collaborate across departments to drive store performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager and associates in delivering a favorable customer shopping experience.
• Lead teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Develop action plans to communicate survey results to associates.
• Work with department heads to identify opportunities and implement timely solutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist in total store operations when the store manager is absent.
• Aim to meet or exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, wage, and profit budgets.
• Drive sales by maximizing department profits, reducing shrink, and improving contribution.
• Discuss budgets and goals with associates and monitor performance.
• Build relationships with local community groups and, if applicable, unions.
