Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a McArthur's Jr. Sous Chef at Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. You will assist in training kitchen staff and execute high-quality dishes across outlets, under the guidance of senior chefs.

This role focuses on consistency, cost control, and guest satisfaction in a luxury hotel setting. You will monitor inventory, maintain recipe accuracy, and uphold sanitation standards while supporting daily kitchen operations and guest requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Accredited Culinary School or Apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a culinary department in a hotel, restaurant or club.
• Maricopa County Food Handler Card required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training staff in production and execution of outlet needs, ensuring consistency and high-quality culinary experience.
• Support preparation and quality control of soups, stocks, sauces, and other outlet dishes under guidance of senior chefs.
• Contribute to daily culinary operations, maintaining efficiency and effectiveness in the kitchen.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Maintain knowledge of all menus/recipes, ensuring accuracy in food preparation.
• Provide guidance to Cooks, Pantry Cooks and Prep Cooks, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards with proper documentation.
• Assist in managing food costs and reducing waste under supervision of senior chefs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address needs and issues.
• Occasionally interact with guests to ensure satisfaction with culinary offerings.
