Job summary

AMD is seeking an intern/co-op in San Jose/Santa Clara, CA, to work full time in a hybrid or onsite setup for multiple co-op/intern terms. You will assist Product Development Engineers with characterization, test programs, and data analysis on next‑gen AMD microprocessors.

Applicants must be enrolled in a US university in CS/CE/EE and have knowledge of C++, Linux, and related tools. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university in an undergraduate program (CS/CE/EE).
• Knowledge of listed programming languages and tools is expected.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Product Development Engineers in characterization and build production test programs.
• Perform engineering and correlation studies to support yield, coverage and ramp.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve efficiency.
• Build and maintain technical documents and debug manufacturing/caracterization test programs.
• Support product debug and characterization to identify performance sensitivities.
