Job summary

Genesis is offering an MDS Coordinator in Training (MDS-IT) program at its skilled nursing facilities in Muscle Shoals, AL. This six-to-ten month structured program builds expertise in MDS 3.0, assessment scheduling, PDPM, and high-quality documentation with mentorship from experienced leaders.

Participants will learn to manage MDS processes, ensure accurate coding, and contribute to compliant, outcome-focused care plans while advancing through a guided Future Leaders pathway.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse (RN or LPN).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to read/write/speak English for resident safety and team communication.
• Familiarity with MDS 3.0, RAI, CAAs, and PDPM desired.

Responsibilities

• Support the MDS process and comprehensive documentation.
• Assist in developing care plans and ensuring CMS/state regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize reimbursement and resident outcomes.
