Job summary

Genesis seeks enthusiastic RNs or LPNs to join the Future Leaders MDS Coordinator in Training (MDS-IT) program—an immersive, six-to-ten month development path focused on MDS 3.0, RAI processes, and PDPM reimbursement. Under a skilled preceptor, you will gain hands-on facility experience and mentorship, with a capstone project on performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse (RN or LPN) required.
• Exposure to MDS 3.0, RAI process, CAAs, and PDPM reimbursement.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret clinical documentation for coding and compliance.
• Proficiency in reading/writing/speaking English for effective team communication.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems (e.g., PCC) or ability to learn them.

Responsibilities

• Develop the next generation of clinical reimbursement leaders through the six–ten month MDS-IT program.
• Support accurate clinical documentation and optimize reimbursement under PDPM.
• Lead the MDS process in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and CMS/state requirements.
