Job summary

Rapid Marine in Shakopee, MN is seeking an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our team and grow into a Service Manager role.

You will work with the Service Manager and leadership to run the service department, supervise technicians, coordinate scheduling, and ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

This hands-on leadership position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, leadership potential, and a commitment to delivering outstanding marine service.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine service operations.
• Strong leadership potential and supervisory capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers and technicians.
• Ability to prioritize multiple jobs in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager with day-to-day operation of the service and rigging departments.
• Help prioritize and schedule repair, maintenance, warranty, rigging, and delivery work.
• Assign work based on technician skill level, workload, deadlines, and resources.
• Monitor work in progress to ensure jobs are completed on schedule and to standard.
• Help maximize technician productivity, efficiency, and utilization.
• Identify workflow problems and remove obstacles delaying completion of work.
• Coordinate with parts personnel to ensure parts are available when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional service department.
