Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in Rutland, VT is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee. You’ll operate backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and loaders under supervision and learn drilling and blasting techniques.

We offer competitive hourly pay ($20-$22) plus travel stipend, ESOP ownership, a 401(k) match, and comprehensive benefits. Candidates must have valid license and construction labor experience; training provided to qualify as a Driller.

Qualifications

• Equipment operating experience is helpful.
• Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer.
• Must pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely (backhoe, skid steer, excavators, loaders) as directed.
• Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient operation of assigned equipment.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Learn drill patterns and execute as established by the Blaster Foreman.
• Coordinate with Blaster/Foreman and document drill reports.
