ARCO Design/Build, Inc. is offering a Superintendent Intern/Co-op in Greenville, SC. You will gain hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle by working with seasoned field leaders on daily site activities and documentation.

This program emphasizes safety, scheduling, quality control, and team collaboration. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a civil, mechanical, architectural, or construction management program with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited undergraduate or graduate program in civil, mechanical, architectural, construction management, building science, or construction engineering.
• Driver's License required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Previous co-op or intern experience in construction preferred but not required.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: exposure to daily job site activities from mobilization to completion.
• Safety Leadership: participate in daily safety meetings and site inspections.
• Scheduling & Coordination: assist with subcontractor activities and progress monitoring.
• Quality Control: observe inspections to ensure work meets plans and ARCO standards.
• Trade Coordination: work with superintendents and subcontractors to understand sequencing.
• Progress Documentation: document daily site activities and take progress photos.
• Project Meetings: attend coordination meetings and owner walkthroughs.
• Plan & Drawing Review: become familiar with drawings and shop drawings in the field.
• Job Site Walks: monitor progress and verify safe, correct work.
