Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Greenville, SC is seeking a SuperintendentIntern/Co-op for hands-on field exposure across the full lifecycle of a project. You will work with seasoned professionals to learn site operations, safety leadership, scheduling, quality control, and plan drawing review in a real construction environment.

The program offers competitive hourly pay with overtime, a housing stipend if needed, insurers for interns working 3 months, and opportunities for professional development,

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• Driver's License
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethics
• Previous Co-op or intern experience in construction preferred, but not required
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Field Operations – exposure to daily site activities from mobilization to project completion
• Safety Leadership – participate in daily safety meetings and site inspections
• Scheduling & Coordination – assist with subcontractor activities and monitoring progress
• Quality Control – observe inspections to ensure work meets plans and ARCO standards
• Site Logistics – understand site organization and materials flow
• Trade Coordination – work with Superintendents and subcontractors on sequencing and workflows
• Progress Documentation – document daily activities, take progress photos, and prepare reports
• Project Meetings – attend coordination meetings and owner walkthroughs
• Plan & Drawing Review – learn construction drawings and shop drawings used in the field
• Job Site Walks – monitor progress and verify safe work
• Training & Learning – participate in offsite trainings and biweekly sessions
• Team Collaboration – partner with PMs and field teams to align office and field work
