Qualifications

• Knowledge of child cognitive development and learning styles.
• Ability to implement JCS Instructional Guidelines and Best Practices.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with families.
• 1+ year working with students as a teacher, teaching assistant, or intern.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom systems and help manage student behavior to keep students engaged.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Tennessee State Standards and JCS guidelines.
• Assess students regularly and analyze assessment data.
• Collaborate with JCS team to improve instructional practices and share best practices.
• Provide families with regular updates on classroom activities and progress.
• Support tracking of student information and maintain attendance records per JCS procedures.
• Identify learning needs and coordinate with team and external providers.
