Qualifications

• Successful completion of 48 hours of college credit or Para Professional Test.
• Meet particular requirements of local, state, and federal programs, especially in terms of confidentiality.
• Crisis Prevention/De-escalation and restraint training required for Special Education.

Responsibilities

• Relate well with children and parents, treating all children, parents, and staff with dignity and respect.
• Assist teacher in any way possible.
• Assist in maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Assist students in implementing an individualized education program (IEP) including accommodations and modifications.
