SmartStop Self Storage is seeking a District Manager in Training to oversee a micro-district and complete a comprehensive training program for future District Manager roles. This role emphasizes leadership, adherence to policies, and district performance.

Successful completion enables relocation to an open District Manager position at a company location as needed. Travel and relocation are required as part of the program.

Responsibilities

• Promote SmartStop culture by leading collaboratively and embracing change.
• Understand and apply SmartStop policies and standards.
• Support district performance by achieving sales and profitability goals.
• Assist in staffing and scheduling for stores within the district.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to staff.
• Ensure programs and standards are implemented consistently across locations.
• Recruit and hire store management candidates with Regional Manager alignment.
• Mentor staff and develop talent within the district.
• Protect assets via store audits, compliance checks, and security procedures.
• Maintain open communication with District Manager and leadership.
• Relocate to an open District Manager position after training.
