Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Assistant Buyer II in the Los Angeles area. You will support buyers with purchase orders, markdowns, and vendor communications to optimise the assortment and profitability. Structured training and apprenticeship programs help you grow into future buying roles.

We value relationship-building, analytical retail math, and speed in decision-making. A Bachelor's degree and two years of retail merchandising experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of two years retail merchandising experience in an Assistant Buyer capacity with extensive vendor contact.
• Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors through meetings and regular interactions.
• Own and learn the reporting process to provide actionable analysis and recommendations.
• Execute operational functions to support designated Buyers including PO management and markdown processing.
• Provide timely analysis of key business issues and make recommendations.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and source new resources to enhance assortment.
• Learn speed of spending and Open-to-Buy concepts.
