Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. seeks an Apprentice Controls Technician in Anchorage to support customers by helping to program temperature control systems based on project specifications.

You will assist other technicians with installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance service on installed systems. The role involves programming databases for supported systems to meet sequences of operation, calibrating and checking control systems, and developing graphical interfaces when required.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to solve software and integration challenges.
• Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
• Basic programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to enroll in the ASP Building Automation Technician Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with programming databases for supported systems per sequences of operation.
• Help calibration and check-out of control systems to meet commissioning goals.
• Assist in graphics coordination and delivery of user interfaces when required.
• Update drawings and maintain as-built records; submit redlines.
• Stay current in the ASP Building Automation Technician Program.
