Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Anchorage, seeks an HVAC Controls Technician III to troubleshoot and program temperature control systems per project specifications. You will install, commission, and support service activities, while guiding junior technicians on complex jobsite tasks and ensuring adherence to LONG standards.

Based in Anchorage, you will collaborate with customers and internal teams, create graphical interfaces, and provide field leadership across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years tech school and 3–5 years temperature control system start-up, checkout, and service experience.
• Certifications in KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle software and integration challenges.
• Ability to read mechanical plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems to meet sequences of operation.
• Calibrate and checkout control systems to ensure commissioning obligations are met.
• Create control graphics and deliver GUIs following LONG standards.
• Instruct customer staff on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems.
• Provide guidance to controls technicians on jobsites and on projects.
