Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Controls Technician to support customers by programming temperature control systems per project specs. You will assist with servicing installed HVAC control systems, calibrations, and commissioning, while pursuing the ASP Building Automation Technician program.

The role includes on-the-job training, a competitive pay range, and benefits. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to solve software and integration challenges.
• Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
• Some knowledge of HVAC systems, control systems and building automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with programming databases for supported systems to meet sequences of operation and manufacturer recommendations.
• Help technicians calibrate and check-out control systems and ensure commissioning obligations are met.
• Assist in graphical user interface preparation and delivery for projects.
• Update drawings and maintain as-built records.
