Job summary

Plaza Tire Service is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician in Springfield, MO. You will perform basic diagnostics and repairs, including oil changes, tire-related services, and light maintenance, with duties centered on quality and safety.

The role includes a base hourly pay with potential additional earnings under a flag/flat-rate system, plus a strong benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years automotive technician experience.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License (in applicable locations) preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the company’s inspection and repair orders.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) following guidelines.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values and policies.
