Job summary

Plaza Tire Service is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic diagnostic and repair work, including oil changes, tire services, and light maintenance. The role includes documenting vehicle condition and following safety and inspection procedures.

The position requires 2+ years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a State Inspector License where required. Compensation is hourly with additional flag rate opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable and compliant.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
