Job summary

Plaza Tire Service in the Midwest is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic diagnostics and maintenance, including oil changes, tire services, brakes, and alignments. The role supports certified technicians and follows safety and inspection procedures.

The position offers hourly pay of $20-$27 plus a flag rate, with benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision insurance, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement within a growing network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) ethically and per guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to company policies and works with flexible schedules including weekends.
