Applicants should have at least two years of hands-on experience operating asphalt transfer machines on commercial or highway projects and must be able to travel daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt transfer machines on commercial or highway projects.
• Daily travel required; must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt transfer machines to move asphalt from trucks to pavers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor material flow to ensure a consistent supply to paving operations.
• Adjust machine settings and conveyor speed for proper asphalt placement and minimizing material loss.
• Coordinate with truck drivers, paver operators, and crew to maintain smooth workflow.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on transfer equipment.
• Identify and report mechanical issues to supervisors promptly.
• Follow project plans, paving layouts, and safety protocols including traffic control.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and proper handling of asphalt and equipment.
• Commit to health, safety and environmental policies on all work environments.
