Job summary

Amrize, a leading construction materials supplier in the United States, seeks a Transfer Machine Operator for our Asphalt division. You will move hot mix asphalt from trucks to pavers, monitor flow, and adjust equipment to ensure quality and efficiency on site.

You will perform daily equipment checks, coordinate with the paving crew, and adhere to strict safety protocols while maintaining clean, organized work areas. Travel daily to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt transfer machines on commercial or highway projects.
• Daily travel required; must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt transfer machines to move and distribute hot mix asphalt from trucks to pavers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and control material flow to ensure consistent supply to the paving operation.
• Adjust machine settings and conveyor speed to maintain proper asphalt placement and minimize material loss.
• Coordinate with truck drivers, paver operators and crew to maintain smooth workflow.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on transfer equipment; troubleshoot minor issues.
