Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. seeks an Asphalt Screed / Screw Operator for the Madison, TN area to join our paving crew on projects including commercial parking lots and city streets.

The role emphasizes safety and experience operating the screed/screw on a paver, or significant paving equipment operation. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of asphalt paving experience, be available for overtime, nights, and weekends, and possess a clean driving record with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in asphalt paving operation.
• Demonstrated lead or direction to a team.
• Experience in high traffic road construction preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and have valid I-9 documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate the screed/screw on the paver.

Rogers Group is currently seeking individuals for ASPHALT SCREED / SCREW OPERATOR position in our Northern Middle Tennessee Division located in and around Madison, Tennessee to work on a paving crew building various projects such as commercial parking lots, city streets, county roads and interstate highways. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence, and prior experience running the screed/screw on the paver – or significant experience in paving equipment operation.

Job Details:

• Full time
• Day shift- some night time or weekend work required
• Location: Madison, TN area
• Wages starting at $24.00/hr. Higher compensation based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate the screed/screw on the paver
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
• Participate as a vital team member and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Foreman.

Qualifications:

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an asphalt paving operation.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a lead or providing direction to a team.
• Experience preferred working road construction in high traffic areas.
• Physical ability to perform routine maintenance and daily cleaning of spray system.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
• Team player.
• Safe driving record.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours when necessary.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Valid Drivers License required.
