Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Asphalt Operator to join road construction crews in the Upstate, SC area. The successful candidate will operate or assist with paving equipment and be highly safety-focused.

This full-time role starts wages at $21/hour, with increases based on experience. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Benefits and company perks are offered to employees, including insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to operate or assist with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and/or assist with equipment such as a bobcat, skid steer, haul truck.
• Be trained in production positions and cover duties during peak times or absences.
• Run water truck to control dust on roadways.
• Report equipment problems and assist in maintenance.
• Complete daily inspections and pre/post shift reports as applicable.
• Assist other workers or perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

Rogers Group is seeking applicants for the position of Experienced Asphalt Operator to work with road construction and highway paving crews in Upstate, SC area. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience working in road building and operating a paver and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Job Details

• Full-Time
• Wages starting at $21/hr +/- based on experience

Job Responsibilities

• Running various pieces of equipment as needed – such as a bobcat, skid steer, and haul truck. Dozer, trackhoe,
• Being trained in various production positions and filling in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times.
• Run water truck to control dust on roadways.
• Report equipment problems and identify them to management; help maintain quarry and equipment.
• Complete daily inspections and equipment pre-shift report – if applicable.
• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• General mechanical knowledge
• Ability to maintain safe working conditions
• Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Previous experience working in mining environment preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
• Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays
