Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. seeks an Asphalt Weighmaster to accurately weigh, ticket, and document vehicles entering and leaving the asphalt plant.

You will be the primary contact for drivers and customers, ensuring outbound loads comply with CDOT/DOT rules and company standards while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in an asphalt or construction-related environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with scale operations is preferred.
• OSHA compliance knowledge and regulatory understanding is expected.
• Strong data entry accuracy and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck scales and software to record tare and gross weights.
• Enter customer data, product codes, and haulage information into the system.
• Ensure outbound trucks meet state weight limits (CDOT/DOT).
• Coordinate with plant operators to load correct tonnage per order.
• Direct truck traffic to loading areas for smooth operations.
• Serve as central hub between scale house, foremen, loaders, and dispatch via CB radio/phone.
• Report loading discrepancies to management with documentation.
• Answer customer inquiries on availability, pricing, and scheduling; process sales accurately.
• Investigate ticket discrepancies or customer complaints and document findings.
