Job summary

Lone Star Paving in Central Texas seeks a Quality Control Technician to join the QC Team and ensure materials and processes meet contract specs and QC tolerance. Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word and related systems is expected.

The role emphasizes testing aggregates and asphalt, data recording, and adherence to safety policies in a field-heavy environment with overtime and weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in asphalt paving or construction quality control.
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Positive, friendly and professional attitude.
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
• Overtime, extended hours and weekends may be required.
• Promote and adhere to safety policies and culture.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sample, and test aggregates, asphalt, or other materials for quality control.
• Sample and test mixtures to stay in contract specifications and QC tolerance.
• Monitor and test processes daily to meet requirements from agencies or customers.
• Prepare and record accurate information; maintain test results database.
• Follow quality control plans and guidelines as assigned.
• Ensure a safe work environment per safety policies and PPE usage.
• General cleaning of work areas daily.
