Job summary

Lone Star Paving, a Central Texas paving contractor, seeks a Quality Control Technician to join the QC team ensuring products meet contract specs and QC tolerances. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Excel, Outlook, Word, and asphalt paving/construction.

The role involves inspecting materials, testing mixtures, recording results, and upholding safety policies. Overtime and weekends may be required, with a focus on accurate data and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quality control or asphalt paving.
• Experience with asphalt construction preferred.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented mindset.
• Positive, friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends as required.
• Commitment to safety policies and culture.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sample, and test aggregates and asphalt for QC.
• Sample and test mixtures to stay compliant with specs.
• Monitor and test process functions to meet agency requirements.
• Prepare and record accurate data; maintain database.
• Follow QC plans and guidelines.
• Maintain safe work environment and PPE compliance.
• Perform general cleaning of work areas daily.
