Preferred Materials - Asphalt, Regionn, part of CRH Florida Division, seeks an experienced Asphalt Plant Operator in Tampa to operate plant controls, weigh aggregates and asphalt cement, and feed the dryer and mixer.

The role requires maintaining heat, ensuring proper material flow, and assisting in equipment maintenance while compiling production reports. Overtime, possible CDL-B, and exposure to heat/cold are part of the job. Join a safety‑driven team with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and strong math skills.
• Minimum 3 years experience as Asphalt Plant Operator.
• Experience with Astec double barrel components and Gencor controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plants controls and weigh/deliver aggregates and asphalt cement to the dryer and mixer.
• Maintain heat in the dryer and proper material flow; assist in equipment maintenance.
• Compile reports on plant production and maintenance; perform related duties as needed.
