Job summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Region, a CRH Florida Division company, seeks an experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to run plant controls, weigh and deliver aggregates and asphalt cement, and feed the mixer for production. You will help maintain dryer heat and material flow, and assist with plant maintenance and reporting.

Requirements: high school diploma, strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and at least 3 years of Asphalt Plant Operator experience; experience with Astec double barrel

Qualifications

• High school diploma and strong math skills.
• Minimum 3 years experience as Asphalt Plant Operator.
• Experience with Astec double barrel components and gencor controls is a plus.
• Computer literate, Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant controls and weigh/deliver aggregates and asphalt cement to dryer and mixer.
• Maintain proper heat in dryer by adjusting controls and ensure proper material flow.
• Assist in maintenance and compile production/maintenance reports.
