Position Overview
Asphalt Plant Operator located in the Huntsville/Tanner area. The successful candidate will lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout existing operations and support growth.

Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain asphalt plant and construction equipment
- Determine proper quantities of materials needed to produce asphalt
- Adjust controls to regulate the flow of materials and maintain system speed
- Ensure plant operates at the proper temperature
- Perform walk‑around and site inspections for all equipment to identify and correct unsafe conditions
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced
- Monitor inventory levels of all mix materials and production levels
- Supervise employees at the plant; train as needed
- Perform welding with arc welder and cutting torch (preferred)
- Monitor plant site to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow
- Troubleshoot, problem‑solve, and discuss production problems with co‑workers and supervisors
- Accurately complete plant reports and enter them into the computer system
- Clean control house and yard facility daily
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- General mechanical knowledge
- Ability to maintain safe working conditions
- Experience working with asphalt environmental preferred
- Basic welding skills preferred
- Good vision (close‑up and long‑distance); ability to look forward, side to side, and rear of equipment
- Reliable transportation
- Self‑motivated; able to work independently without constant supervision
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate loud noises
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors as required
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Drug‑free and able to pass pre‑employment drug screen
- Will provide valid documentation for I‑9 immigration requirement
