Yates Construction is hiring an Asphalt Plant Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment at two asphalt plants in Byram and Philadelphia, MS. You will work with rotary dryers, drum mixers, conveyors, baghouses, and crushers, performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires willingness to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, 18+ years old, ability to pass drug screen and post-offer physical, and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old minimum.
• Pre-employment drug screen with negative result.
• Post-offer physical with capable result.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rotary dryers, drum mixers, conveyors, baghouses, and crushers.
• Weld and fabricate structural components of plant silos, bins, and chutes.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns during production hours.
• Both at two plants in Byram, MS and Philadelphia, MS.
