Talley Construction, a CRH Company in Chattanooga, TN, seeks an Asphalt General Laborer to support the plant crew in producing hot mix asphalt and maintaining equipment. This role involves outdoor work, physical labor, and following safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate is reliable, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and willing to work long hours, early mornings, and weekends as needed. Opportunities for advancement and training are available within CRH’s broad operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt or general construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be punctual and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Grease plant/equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Operate hand and power tools (shovels, impacts, jackhammers).
• Load, unload, and transport materials.
• Use skid steer and other tools to maintain plant grounds.
• Identify and report maintenance and safety issues to supervisor.
• Put away tools and equipment daily.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Communicate with crew and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
