Terracon is seeking a Field/Lab Technician to perform material testing, inspection, and data reporting for construction projects in Florida. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, familiarity with MS Word and Excel, and a valid driver’s license.

NICET/ICC/ASNT/AWS certifications are preferred to support field and laboratory testing across soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel. Safety and quality compliance are essential.

Competenze

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience.
• ACI certifications in concrete testing are preferred for field and lab work.
• NICET Level II certification in two or more listed areas is preferred.
• AWS CWI or ASNT Level II certifications are desirable.

Mansioni

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM.
• May train lower level technicians and lead activities of other technicians on projects.
• Maintains equipment and calibration.
• Follows safety rules and completes pre-task planning; reports any safety issues to management.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

Formazione

High school diploma or equivalent

ACI certification in one or more of the following areas: Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I; Concrete Strength Testing Technician

NICET Level II certification in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils)

NICET Level II certification in Geotechnical (Construction, Laboratory, Exploration, Generalist)
