Asphalt Paving Machine Screed Operator - Austin Bridge & Road

About the Role

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking experienced Asphalt Paving Machine Screed Operators for various North Texas asphalt projects. We are committed to excellence and are looking for talented construction professionals eager to grow with us.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure the screed is clean, properly adjusted, and monitored for temperature and specifications
• Adjust reference components for paving width, depth, grade, and slope
• Ensure proper contact and clearance of gates and endgate springs
• Troubleshoot and adjust the screed during paving operations
• Install/remove electronic grade control
• Assist with site preparation and other activities as needed
• Attend safety meetings and follow safety policies
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in various weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience operating asphalt equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
