Job summary

Duininck Texas is seeking a paving distributor operator to join our crew on a project at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. This seasonal, full-time role requires active CDL Class A with hazmat and tanker endorsements and the ability to travel and work Saturdays.

You will operate a distributor to apply tack, monitor performance, perform routine maintenance, and maintain safety and efficiency on the jobsite in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CDL A with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT health card.

Responsibilities

• Operates distributor safely to apply tack according to paving specifications.
• Prepares distributor and continuously monitors performance to achieve the required specifications for paving.
• Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that distributor is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
• Reports to shop when distributor needs maintenance and repair.
• Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Maitains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
• Follows Supervisor's instructions closely.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Work extended hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Travel and some Saturday work are required.

This position with Duininck Texas offers the opportunity to join our paving crew and successfully operate a distributor that is used to apply tack to the surface being paved. Applicants must have an active and valid CDL Class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.

This position will be working on a project at the Randolph Air Force base in San Antonio, TX and will therefore require additional security clearance to be on the base.
