Job summary

Duininck Texas invites applications for a seasonal, full-time paving helper role on a Randolph Air Force Base project in San Antonio, TX. You will operate a distributor to apply tack, prep and monitor performance, and work with crew to ensure safety and quality on the jobsite.

The role requires a valid CDL A with hazmat and tanker endorsements, a current DOT health card, and willingness to travel with some Saturday work. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

This position with Duininck Texas offers the opportunity to join our paving crew and successfully operate a distributor that is used to apply tack to the surface being paved. Applicants must have an active and valid CDL Class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.

This position will be working on a project at the Randolph Air Force base in San Antonio, TX and will therefore require additional security clearance to be on the base.

The Role:

• Operates distributor safely to apply tack according to paving specifications.
• Prepares distributor and continuously monitors performance to achieve the required specifications for paving.
• Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that distributor is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
• Reports to shop when distributor needs maintenance and repair.
• Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
• Follows Supervisor's instructions closely.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Work extended hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Travel and some Saturday work are required.
