Job summary

T-Lazy-7 Ranch in Aspen, CO seeks a Business Manager to handle payroll, accounting, HR administration, insurance, registrations, sales reporting, vendor payments, and seasonal closeout. The role partners with ownership on events, contracts, and project accounting, with additional administrative duties across seasons.

The position covers pre-season hiring, post-season closeouts, and ongoing coordination with management and vendors, ensuring compliance and smooth operations for the winter season.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in business administration, accounting, bookkeeping, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and confidential employee records.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office; experience with Rippling, FareHarbor, AppFolio, or comparable systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of seasonal hiring, onboarding, employee documentation, insurance administration, vendor agreements, and regulatory reporting.
• Exceptional accuracy, organization, discretion, and follow-through in managing multiple entities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Payroll and HR administration, including timesheets and guide tips; staff check-ins and documentation; manage Ski Pass program; medical training records; radio assignments; commission payouts.
• Accounting, business, and financial administration: QuickBooks transactions and FareHarbor reporting; intercompany reimbursements; project accounting; vendor invoices and payments; loan payments and closings; lease payments.
• Insurance, registrations, and reporting: manage workers’ compensation, tour and vehicle insurance; fleet registrations; periodic state reporting.
• Events and contract administration: coordinate event details and government contracts; oversee contracts and invoicing for events.
• Pre-season responsibilities: post and update job descriptions, screen and interview candidates, coordinate background checks, assist USFS permit submissions.
• Post-season responsibilities: calculate bonuses, refund housing and deposits, Snow Dump accounting, and closeout with ownership and legal.
