Qualifications

• Ability to obtain ASME Section 9 certification in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW.
• At least 2 years of experience welding pressure vessels and FCAW process.
• CCC procedures certification required.

Responsibilities

Position: ASME Welder

Location: Equipment and Assembly Facility - Pittsburgh, PA

Starting Wage: $28.78 with a wage step progression plan

Eligibility to receive a $1,000 new hire retention bonus (paid $500 at hire and an additional $500 after 6 months)

Tool Allowance Program: New Welder II hires can submit a one-time reimbursement up to $250 for tools within 30 days of hire

Work Schedule: Flexible shifts in a 3-shift rotation; must be able to work rotating shifts.

Under supervision, the technician will perform welding and maintain safety standards, complying with all policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Welding all vessels (including large ASME) and structural components using SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW, and GMAW processes to meet certified procedures.
• Performing non-destructive testing on pressure retaining welds.
• Working from drawings and sketches to determine weld specifics.
• Inspecting own work and making repairs as needed.
• Assisting with incoming parts and final product inspections.
• Operating forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes.
• Completing daily ASME code weld logs.
• Material handling and movement.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or Trade School certification required.
• Ability to obtain ASME Section 9 certification in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW while employed.
• At least 2 years of experience welding pressure vessels and FCAW process.
• CCC procedures certification required.
