Job Summary
We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Area Sales Manager to manage and grow sales across on-trade and off-trade channels within the assigned territory. This role requires strong distributor management, trade relationships, retail execution, and a proven ability to deliver sales targets in a competitive alcobev market.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Execution – Deliver monthly/quarterly sales targets for the assigned territory. Ensure product placement, visibility, and availability across outlets.
- Channel & Distributor Management – Manage distributors and stockists for efficient supply chain and secondary sales. Drive performance and resolve operational issues. Build relationships with key accounts, retail partners, and HORECA outlets.
- Trade Marketing & Activations – Execute trade promotions, POSM deployment, and in-market activations in collaboration with the Trade Marketing team. Monitor competitor activities and suggest improvements.
- Retail Visibility & Merchandising – Ensure effective branding, display, and compliance at all retail touchpoints. Enhance in-store visibility for product recall and consumer engagement.
- Reporting & Market Insights – Track daily/weekly sales, monitor outlet performance, and prepare territory MIS reports. Share feedback on pricing, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
- Team & Market Development – Guide and support sales executives, promoters, and field staff in driving secondary sales. Expand coverage by identifying new outlets and accounts.
Key Skills & Competencies
- In-depth understanding of the alcoholic beverages industry and trade dynamics.
- Strong understanding of the alcoholic beverages industry and trade channels.
- 5+ years of relevant sales experience in the alcobev industry (on-trade and off-trade).
- Expertise in distributor handling, territory management, and outlet development.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and market share growth.
- Hands‑on experience in trade activations, retail visibility, and POSM execution.
- Strong negotiation, relationship‑building, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lead field staff/promoters and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and basic reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- Certification in Trade/Brand/Channel Marketing is a plus.
