Qualifikationen

• Must possess a valid Deaf/hard of hearing Minnesota Teacher license or have the ability to obtain one prior to the start date.
• Knowledge of Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) or similar ASL rating system.
• Knowledge of the deaf/hard of hearing and deaf/blind students and educational practices
• Skill in writing basic reports, using arithmetic, and reading and interpreting charts and graphs
• Fluency in American Sign Language
• Ability to read and write English sufficient to understand written policies and procedures and education plans and to maintain records and documentation

Aufgaben

• Contributes to the design and delivery of academic instructional programs to deaf/hard of hearing or deaf/blind students. Provides educational instruction and uses a variety of techniques to encourage appropriate behaviors.
• Maintains and assists with Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) testing, rating and tracking information.
