Job summary

Viability, Inc. in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Program Supervisor who is fluent in American Sign Language to lead the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened program.

The role includes development and operation of program functions, staff supervision, and collaboration with the Director to maintain budgeted operations. Regular travel to the Berkshires is required, with a 40-hour work week and occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and have a working knowledge of Deaf culture.
• Bachelor’s Degree with seven years of related experience required, or Masters Degree with 5 years of related experience preferred; with at least one year of experience in a supervisor role and/or demonstrated completion of an approved supervisory training program.
• Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ensure the effective operation of specific functions of the supported living program.
• Manage and supervise staff for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened program; collaborate with the Director to stay within budget.
