Job summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled ASL interpreter to provide accurate sign language interpretation in a Green Bay, WI classroom setting. You will interpret spoken language for students, teachers, and staff, supporting accessible communication and inclusive learning experiences.

In this contract role, you’ll collaborate with educators, maintain confidentiality, and adapt interpretation strategies to meet diverse student needs while contributing to a positive educational environment.

Qualifications

• ASL interpretation certification/licensure required or eligible.
• Experience in a school environment or with children is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to adapt communication strategies to individual needs.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken language into ASL (and vice versa) for students, teachers, and staff during classes, meetings, and events.
• Provide clear and accurate interpretation to facilitate communication among deaf/hard-of-hearing students, peers, teachers, and staff.
• Collaborate with educators to support instructional goals and adapt materials for full inclusion.
• Maintain records of interpreting assignments and participate in IEP meetings when required.
• Support students' academic, social, and emotional development through responsive communication.
