Job summary

Avamere at Chestnut Lane in Gresham, OR is seeking a friendly Server for memory care and assisted living dining services. This part-time role requires weekend availability and provides an attentive dining experience for residents.

You will take orders, serve meals and beverages, set up tables, and maintain a clean dining area while upholding food safety standards. Wages range from $19.10 to $24.91 per hour, DOE, with benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety
• Requires maintaining personal hygiene and hair restraints
• Interpersonal skills to work with teams and residents
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment
• CPR/First Aid certification during employment
• Food Handler's card from local Health Department
• Familiarity with dietary practices and related laws

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver meal and beverage orders accurately
• Deliver food promptly and courteously
• Provide attentive service and address residents' needs
• Set up dining room before meals and maintain cleanliness
• Clear and reset tables for next service
• Take and deliver room service orders
• Answer questions about menu and dietary needs
• Maintain professional and warm interactions with residents and guests
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth service
• Dispose of food and waste according to policy
