Job summary

ZP Connect is seeking qualified American Sign Language interpreters to provide high-quality video relay, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting across multiple environments. You will work under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager with a focus on accurate interpretation and professional conduct.

Interpreters must possess fluent ASL and spoken English, adhere to NAD-RID guidelines, attend a 40-hour New Hire Training, and be willing to travel for assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Accurate interpretation and understanding of Deaf culture.
• Adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials may apply where required.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model ZP Connect's mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude toward customers and colleagues.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts, and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
• Demonstrate adaptability to new technologies and multitask between interpreting and video tools.
• Travel to client locations as needed.
