Job summary

RXinsider LTD. is seeking an ASL Interpreter to support students and educators in Brainerd, MN throughout the school year.

This contract position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with a focus on accessibility and inclusive learning. You will interpret classroom instruction and school events, collaborate with teachers, and help Deaf and Hard of Hearing students participate fully while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter or in an educational setting is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
• Familiarity with the needs of D/deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
• Flexibility to work full-time or part-time as needed.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; relevant certification or credentials as required by state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events for students and staff.
• Support communication between deaf or Hard of Hearing students and hearing peers, teachers, and administrators.
• Adapt interpreting style to classroom dynamics and individual student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of conduct.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers to support educational goals.
